Brainerd is home to the Midwest’s largest racetrack, Brainerd International Raceway, which is home each August to the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, when Top Fuel and Funny Car drivers compete. From spring through fall, BIR hosts a range of racing events at the Brainerd racetrack. New this season, BIR will host the NASCAR K & N Pro Series West on Saturday, May 26, of Memorial Day weekend. Other major events include the Thursday at the Lakes NHRA Divisional Race June 1-3; NAPA Auto Parts Show & Go July 5-8; and NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals August 16-19. Nearly every weekend you will find racing events at Brainerd International Raceway. In addition, enjoy the weekly Wednesday Night Drags – Street Legal Style.

BIR Street Car Showdown/NASCAR K & N Series
